creating common ground
In times of turmoil, when the stakes are high for people and the planet, it is important to find common ground. And if we can’t find it, we must create it. That is what Circlewood is doing – bringing together people, creatures, land, and faith to cultivate new ways of life and hope. Circlewood’s ability to create common ground has grown tremendously in the last year, in large part because of our growing community of partners and supporters – people like you! Please take a moment to read a few highlights from the past year, as well as our plans for the year to come.

Media work continued growing. The Earthkeepers podcast is finishing its sixth season and just passed 70,000 episode downloads. Circlewood’s online journal, The Ecological Disciple, increased subscriptions by 25% and saw visits to the website (ecodisciple.com) more than double.

New educational programs reached young people. Circlewood created new programs for middle and high school students, college students, and young adults focused on ecological discipleship.

Sine Center for Ecological Learning completed. We finished the first building of what will become Circlewood Village on Camano Island.
As we celebrate these accomplishments with you, we also look ahead to 2026.

With your continued support in 2026:

We will enhance our media work. We are already working on new podcast episodes and introducing new voices to our writing. James will be starting a book project, tentatively titled “Following Jesus from the Ground Up.”

We will deepen Circlewood’s unique educational framework. Building on last year’s pilot programs, we will continue to develop our “Journey of Ecological Discipleship.” This is a comprehensive framework that helps participants deepen their connection to God and the community of creation, develop their calling as earthkeepers, and discern the change they are called to make.

We will further our forestry and development work. We will continue to make our 40-acre forest into a unique destination for learning, retreat, and connection. We will add to our trail system, and finish constructing a small office so that the Sine Center will be even more available for individuals and groups.
