OUR LONG TERM VISION
We are working toward establishing a learning center on land that includes natural areas, a working farm, meeting spaces, and places to stay. Programs and activities will include:
General Education – We will offer a variety of educational offerings designed to foster individual and group learning, focused on understanding and applying biblical and theological perspectives on caring for the earth. These will include short-term classes, seminars, and workshops, as well as longer courses that can be used for credit in undergraduate and graduate institutions.
Sustainable Agriculture – Our organic and diversified farm will help people learn about the connections between food and faith through hand-on work, educational tours and classes, and purchasing shares in the farm.
Conservation –Our land will be a demonstration of intentional conservation that serves as both a model and muse for how people can preserve and create healthy habitats in their homes, schools, churches, and workplaces.
Leadership Formation – We will invest in the next generation of Christian leaders through internships, cohorts, and conferences that focus on developing followers of Jesus who include care for the earth as a core aspect their discipleship and leadership.
Hospitality – Through intentional retreats, focused sabbaticals, and special events, we will welcome people and groups to seek God, deepen their personal discipleship, and explore their particular callings within the framework of our common vocation to care for the earth and seek God’s comprehensive shalom.
Connecting – By sharing our resources and organizing periodic gatherings, we will support individuals, groups, organizations, and institutions who are pursuing a similar vision and mission.
